ART DPS II – Digital Preamplifier System with Variable Tube Character

Flexible signal adaptation with improved tube technology

DPS II is a digital preamplifier system that combines analog warmth with high-resolution digital conversion. The amplifier automatically switches between instrument and microphone mode, making it ideal for a variety of studio applications. With 24-bit/96kHz A/D conversion and upgraded V3 presets for tube character, you get a warm and musical sound profile, regardless of signal type.

Improved control and clear signal monitoring

With LED indicator for input level and an analog output meter, you get a direct overview of the signal flow. The wide frequency response between 5Hz and 50kHz provides a natural reproduction without coloration. An improved OPL limiter protects against overload at the output.

Connections and Sync

The DPS II offers both ADAT and S/PDIF optical outputs, as well as Wordclock for sync. The units can run at internal sample rates of 44.1kHz up to 96kHz, or sync externally via BNC or ADAT. The system also supports the re-routing of unused ADAT data.
