Versatile bass drum head with adjustable damping

This bass drum head features a single ply of clear 10mil film and is equipped with the EMAD damping system. The system allows quick adjustments of the damping to tailor the sound for different playing styles and needs.

Three damping options with the EMAD system

The EMAD system includes two interchangeable damping rings placed in a plastic ring on the drumhead. The narrow ring preserves the drum’s natural tone with more focus on highs and lows, while the wide ring reduces low midrange frequencies for a more defined and powerful attack. Without a damping ring, resonance in the midrange increases, producing a sound closer to classic felt-strip damping inspired by John Bonham.

Stable fit with Level 360

Evans’ Level 360 design ensures the drumhead sits flush against the drum shell from the start, making tuning easier and providing an even tone right away. This construction allows the drum to be tuned low while maintaining tonal quality.
