Construction and Design

The Epiphone 1962 ES-335 Reissue is a semi-hollow electric guitar built to the specifications of the 1962 ES-335. The body is crafted from 5-ply laminated maple/poplar with rounded cutaways and a solid maple center block, which provides extended sustain and reduces feedback.

The one-piece mahogany neck features a 1960s Slim Taper™ C-profile. The rosewood fingerboard is fitted with 22 medium jumbo frets, small block mother-of-pearl inlays, and rolled edges for a natural playing feel. The side position markers have the same size and placement as on the original 1962 ES-335 models.

Hardware and Details

The headstock follows the classic Gibson open-book shape and is inlaid with the Epiphone logo and Gibson Crown in aged mother-of-pearl. The tuning machines are Epiphone Deluxe with Double Ring Keystone-style buttons, paired with a Graph Tech® nut.

The bridge setup includes an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic™ bridge combined with a Gibson Historic Reissue aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, both anchored into the solid center block for increased sustain.

Electronics and Pickups

This model comes equipped with two USA-made Gibson Custombucker humbuckers, hand-wired to CTS® potentiometers and Black Beauty paper-in-oil capacitors. This setup offers a wide tonal range suitable for various music styles.

Finish and Accessories

The guitar is delivered in a vintage-style black hardshell case with goldenrod interior and Gibson Custom-inspired exterior details. Available in Vintage Burst or Sixties Cherry with a vintage gloss finish.
