The Evans UV1 is an 8-inch drumhead featuring a highly durable UV-cured coating. Made from a single 10 mil film, the fine-textured surface provides a wide dynamic range with clear highs and a full low-end.

Tonal Response and Tuning Range

When played off-center at low dynamics, the UV1 delivers defined overtones. At higher playing levels, the response becomes rounder with an attack that resembles a two-ply head. It performs well across a broad tuning range—producing a softer, bass-rich attack when tuned low, and a tighter, more focused sound when tuned high.

Fit and Tuning Stability

The head is shaped with Evans’ Level 360 profile, ensuring even contact with the drum shell. This enhances tuning accuracy and expands the tonal range.
