Overdrive pedal with British character
The Friedman Small Box Overdrive is an analog overdrive pedal inspired by the tone of the Friedman Small Box tube amplifier. It delivers a distinctive Plexi-style sound with a selectable two-level gain structure, making it flexible for a variety of tonal needs and setups.
Plexi-Inspired Distortion
Dynamic response and defined tone
Designed to emulate the feel and sound of the Small Box amplifier, the pedal offers harmonically rich overdrive suitable for both vintage tones and more modern rock sounds.
Two gain modes
A side-mounted switch allows the user to toggle between two distinct gain settings—from a lower gain Plexi-style tone to a more saturated, higher gain response. This makes the pedal suitable for use as either an overdrive or a boost, depending on your setup.
Connection and Use
The pedal operates in mono with true bypass switching. It can be placed in front of a clean amplifier or used to push an already overdriven amp. Powered by 9–18V DC and equipped with a 4-band EQ, it offers tone-shaping flexibility to suit different rigs and playing styles.
