Three Compressor Modes in One Unit

The Hyper Luminal Compressor Limited Black Edition offers three selectable compressor types, modeled after some of the most recognized studio units:

• BUS – inspired by the Solid State Logic® Bus Compressor
• FET – based on the classic 1176®
• SYM – a digital recreation of Darkglass’ discontinued Super Symmetry compressor

All models are digitally controlled while preserving a fully analog signal path to maintain dynamics and sound integrity.

Touch-Based Parameter Control

Instead of mechanical switches, this pedal uses touch-sensitive metal sensors to adjust compression mode and ratio. The sensors detect where the chassis is touched and respond accordingly, ensuring reliable performance without mechanical wear.

Precision Control and Visual Feedback

Four control knobs provide detailed shaping of the compression effect:

• Blend – mixes dry and compressed signals
• Time – sets attack and release timing
• Compression – adjusts the compression amount
• Level – controls overall output volume

A 10-segment LED meter provides real-time gain reduction feedback.

USB Connectivity for Editing

The pedal connects to the Darkglass Suite via USB for editing parameters, loading future compressor models, and adjusting timing settings. While powered at 9V DC, the pedal internally converts to 18V for increased headroom.
