Tube-Based Stereo Rack Power Amp – 2 x 50 Watts

The E840 is a powerful stereo power amp in 19" rack format, delivering 2 x 50 watts with clarity and headroom. Four 5881 tubes – the military version of the 6L6 – provide a distinctive sound character with rich overtones, strong attack, and warmth.

The power amp features two independent channels (A and B), each with separate volume and presence controls for left and right sides. This allows for two different tonal setups with distinct dynamic responses. All settings can be controlled via footswitch.

Flexible Control and Connectivity

Each side offers speaker outputs for both 8 and 16 ohms, making it easy to match with various cabinets. A ground lift function helps eliminate ground loop hum in studio or live environments.

Construction and Tube Configuration

The E840 is fully tube-driven, equipped with three ECC83/12AX7 preamp tubes and four 6L6GC output tubes from Engl. The unit is built in a 2U rack format and weighs 12 kg.
