Construction and Body

The Epiphone 1962 ES-335 Reissue is a semi-hollow electric guitar built according to the specifications of the 1962 model. The body is made of 5-ply laminated maple/poplar with rounded cutaways and features a solid maple center block for enhanced sustain and reduced feedback.

Neck and Fingerboard

The neck is crafted from one piece of mahogany with a 1960s Slim Taper™ C-profile. The rosewood fingerboard has 22 medium jumbo frets, small mother-of-pearl block inlays, and rounded edges for a natural playing feel. The side dots are designed and placed according to the 1962 original.

Hardware and Details

The headstock follows the classic Gibson open-book shape with Epiphone logo and Gibson Crown in aged mother-of-pearl. The tuners are Epiphone Deluxe with double-ring Keystone-style buttons, paired with a Graph Tech® nut.

The bridge setup includes an ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic™ bridge and a Gibson Historic Reissue aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, both anchored to the center block for stability and sustain.

Electronics and Pickups

The guitar is equipped with two Gibson USA Custombucker humbuckers, hand-wired to CTS® potentiometers and Black Beauty paper-in-oil capacitors. The electronics offer a wide tonal range suitable for various musical styles.

Finish and Accessories

Comes with a vintage-style black hardshell case featuring a plush goldenrod interior and Inspired by Gibson Custom exterior details. Available in Sixties Cherry with a high-gloss vintage finish.
