MPC Key 37 combines Akai’s MPC workflow with a 37-key keyboard, sampling, sequencing, plugin instruments, and effects in a single standalone unit. It is designed to manage the entire production chain – from audio recording and sound design to mixing and export – without requiring a computer connection, but can also be integrated into a DAW setup via USB.

Integrated Features

MPC Key 37 features a 37-key synth-action keyboard with aftertouch and separate pitch and modulation wheels. Its built-in sampling engine, sequencer, and instrument plugins enable direct creation and editing. The 7-inch multi-touch color screen with gesture support provides fast access to key functions, supported by four assignable Q-Link knobs.

Pads, Effects, and Connectivity

The unit includes 16 velocity- and pressure-sensitive MPC pads with RGB lighting and polyphonic aftertouch. It comes with over 8 GB of instruments and sounds from the MPC expansion library and more than 100 studio-quality effects for creative sound processing. MPC Key 37 also offers both analog and digital connectivity, including MIDI I/O and CV/Gate outputs.

Wireless Functionality and Expansion

With built-in Wi-Fi, you can download content directly from Splice and update the device wirelessly. Storage can be expanded via SD card, and MPC Key 37 functions as a 2-in/2-out USB audio interface with MIDI I/O. It can be used standalone, with MPC Desktop Software, or as a plugin inside any DAW.
