The Milab VM-44 is a small-diaphragm condenser microphone characterized by its natural and clear sound. It is particularly well suited for sound sources with fast transients, such as acoustic guitar, piano or drums. The handmade capsule delivers an open and neutral sound with a subtle presence peak around 10 kHz, which allows the microphone to reproduce details and high-frequency content with precision.

Compact and versatile design

Thanks to its small size, the VM-44 is easy to place without being in the way, making it equally useful in studio environments as in live performances. The discreet design combined with the natural sound has also made the model popular in TV and broadcast contexts.

Interchangeable capsules and high sound pressure resistance

The microphone comes with a cardioid capsule, but the front part can be easily unscrewed and replaced with an omnidirectional or supercardioid capsule if necessary. A built-in -12 dB attenuation means that the microphone can handle high sound pressures without distortion.
