Ibanez S521-BBS - Blackberry Sunburst

The S521-BBS belongs to Ibanez’s S series, introduced in 1987. The guitar features an ergonomic body that is thicker in the middle and tapers towards the edges, creating a shape that follows the player’s body when standing.

Neck and Fingerboard

The neck is a three-piece Wizard III in maple with 24 jumbo frets and a Jatoba fingerboard with offset-dot inlays. The profile is slightly rounder and fuller than the standard Wizard, with a 400 mm radius, offering a balanced feel in the hand.

Body and Tone

The body is made of meranti, with a smooth high end and a midrange that provides clear separation and sustain. It is equipped with two passive Quantum humbuckers, Alnico in the neck position and Ceramic in the bridge. The pickups are controlled via a 5-way switch with master tone and volume, offering series, parallel, and split coil options.

The S521-BBS features a fixed bridge and Cosmo Black hardware.
