This 22-inch bass drumhead from the Evans EMAD series is made from a single ply of 10mil film with a white coated surface and features the EMAD damping system. The combination of coating and external damping provides a controlled sound with clear attack and consistent response across the full dynamic range.

Single-Ply Construction with Adjustable Damping

The coated surface contributes to a drier tone with a more defined attack, especially at lower playing volumes. The EMAD system includes two interchangeable damping rings mounted on the outer edge of the drumhead, offering different damping levels. The wide ring produces a rounder and more dampened tone, while the narrow ring allows for a more open sound. The head can also be used without any ring for a more resonant tone.

Stable Fit and Easy Tuning

Evans’ Level 360 design ensures full contact between the drumhead and shell, making tuning easier and delivering a consistent tone even at low tensions. This allows the head to respond clearly with a balanced sound across the frequency spectrum.
