Eve Audio SC207 All Black

The SC207 is a SilverCone two-way monitor with a 6.5" woofer. With an extended bass frequency range and impressive sound level, it will easily fill your room with exceptional sound.

This nearfield monitor also comes with convenient threaded screw inserts on the bottom and back. This way, you can mount your SC207 on a standard microphone or speaker stand, or use the back for various wall mounting options.

SMART Button

Power On/Off: Standby Mode

Hold the control for three seconds to put the monitor into Standby mode. The volume will gradually decrease while the LED ring lights up once around the volume control. After that, the LED on the right side will remain dimly lit and the power consumption will decrease to 1 watt.

Volume

The volume can be adjusted by turning the knob. Depending on the LED mode selected, the volume will be displayed as a dim/bright circle or as a dim/bright dot.

Mute

For To put the monitor in Mute mode, turn the volume control counterclockwise until you reach the lowest level. When the LED on the left side is dim, Mute mode is activated.

Settings

Press the SMART button once to access the settings menu. Here you can set various filters and the behavior of the LED ring. The LED for the currently active function flashes. Click on the different filters above to get more information about them!

High Filter

The High-Shelf filter helps you adjust frequencies above 3 kHz in 0.5 dB steps. You may need it in the following situations:

Distance from the speakers: High frequencies are attenuated the further you sit from the speakers. If you are sitting far from the speakers, you may need to boost the high frequencies. If you are close, such as in a desktop setup (about 1 meter or 3 feet away), you may need to attenuate the high frequencies.
Room acoustics: In a room with few reflective surfaces ("dead room"), you can boost the high frequencies to create a more balanced sound. If the room has many reflective surfaces, it is recommended to attenuate the high frequencies.

Adjust the High Filter to achieve the best sound quality based on your listening position.

Desk Filter

The Desk Filter allows you to boost or attenuate the low midrange in 0.5 dB steps:

• Narrow-Band EQ: Depending on the model, the filter is centered between 160 and 200 Hz. When turned down, it attenuates the low midrange that is often caused by reflections from mixing consoles or similar surfaces. Lower the filter gain to reduce this effect.
• EQ at 80 Hz: When turned up, it boosts the low frequencies and adds more punch to the sound.

Low Filter

The Low-Shelf filter allows you to boost or cut frequencies below 300 Hz in 0.5 dB steps. Here's when you can use it:

• Attenuate Low Frequencies: If the room acoustics are causing an amplification of low frequencies (due to room mod or if the speakers are close to walls), you can reduce them with the Low-Shelf filter.
• Boost Low Frequencies: If the low frequencies are too weak, you can boost them to achieve a balanced frequency response.

Adjust the Low-Shelf filter to correct problems with the low-frequency range caused by room acoustics.

LED

The LED mode determines how the LED ring displays the volume level. There are four modes available:

• Bright Ring: All LEDs up to the selected volume level are brightly lit. As the signal gets louder, the brightly lit ring extends.
• Bright Point: Only the LED corresponding to the selected volume level is brightly lit. As the signal gets louder, the brightly lit dot moves further up.
• Dim Ring: All LEDs up to the selected volume level glow dimly. As the signal gets louder, the dimly lit ring extends. LEDs glow brightly for a short time as you adjust the volume.
• Dim Point: Only the LED corresponding to the selected volume level glows dimly. As the signal gets louder, the dimly lit dot moves further up.
